The Village Tech Viper Squid will look to defend their home pitch on Saturday against the Life Oak Cliff Lions at 9:30 a.m. Village Tech's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Last Wednesday, Village Tech came up short against Williams Prep and fell 3-1. Village Tech has not had much luck with Williams Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Meanwhile, Life Oak Cliff came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.8 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They never let North Hills Prep onto the board and left with a 11-0 win. Life Oak Cliff's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.
Village Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Life Oak Cliff, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Village Tech might still be hurting after the 7-1 loss they got from Life Oak Cliff when the teams last played back in March of 2023. Can Village Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
