Sentinel is 2-8 against Glacier since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Spartans will host the Wolfpack at 5:00 p.m. Sentinel is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Sentinel is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Flathead, who was ranked 14th at the time (Sentinel was ranked ninth). The Spartans blew past the Braves/Bravettes 15-1 on Tuesday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by ten runs or more this season.

Alyssa Hanninen made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Hanninen was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

In other batting news, Sentinel got a massive performance out of Nina Samoury, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Samoury has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Wright, who scored four runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Sentinel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Glacier didn't have quite enough to beat Helena on Friday and fell 4-3. The contest marked the Wolfpack's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Glacier saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Warriner, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Sentinel back to even at 4-4. As for Glacier, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
