Hermitage is still winless after their contest against Clinton on Monday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 36-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cardinals. On the bright side, the 33- point performance marked the Hornets' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Hermitage's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Clinton, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hermitage will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Humansville at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. Clinton and Nevada will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
