It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Minco Bulldogs can now relate to. They were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 21-20 to Hooker. Minco's defeat signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Hooker found their leader in underclassman Justin Palacios, who rushed for 143 yards. Palacios is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last eight games he's played.
Minco's loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Hooker, they pushed their record up to 10-2 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Minco does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hooker will take on Central at TBD on Friday. Central has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 114 points over their last three games.
