Basketball Recap: Pocomoke Falls Despite Big Games from MICHAEL AMES and DESHOUR PRITCHETT

Pocomoke lost against Parkside back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pocomoke Warriors took a hard 88-74 fall against the Parkside Rams. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in December of 2024 (67), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Pocomoke's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of DESHOUR PRITCHETT, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 boards, and MICHAEL AMES, who posted 18 points and four steals. The contest was AMES's third in a row with at least ten points. JAYDEN MASON was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Pocomoke smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Pocomoke has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Parkside, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-5.

Pocomoke didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 82-48 win against Washington on the 14th. Parkside has also already played their next match (against Wicomico), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
