The biggest upset of the week belonged to West Orange, who took down 148th ranked West Orange, 30-28.
Columbia moved up to 177 from 215 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Super Essex - American. The Cougars were able to make move up by besting the Mountaineers 30-28.
Montclair's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nate Crutchfield threw for 173 and two touchdowns and Clarence Sears had 81 yards receiving. On the ground Michael Million chipped in 137 yards. Kenny Rosario helped Montclair's passing attack out by catching two balls for 54 yards.
Seton Hall Prep's Peter Burkly and Clay Austin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Burkly has thrown for 717 yards this season, while Austin, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 22 catches for 401 yards. The Mounties' Million leads the league in rushing yards with 1166.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Montclair takes on West Orange. At the moment, John Fiore's team is in first, while John Jacob's team is in fifth.
The Mounties extended the longest winning streak in Super Essex - American this week by beating the Pirates, 49-0. The win marks sixth in a row for the Montclair.
