Edgewood extended their losing streak to 16 on Monday, dropping them down to 2-17. They lost 26-8 to the Havre de Grace Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-3 on Friday.
Natalie Grabenstein and Tayah McGraw did some serious damage despite the final result: Grabenstein went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run, while McGraw got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Grabenstein's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Sierra Gaither, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
As for Havre de Grace, they pushed their record up to 9-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.
On Havre de Grace's side, Emma Bauer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Bauer was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Ryleigh Curry was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Weitzel, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
Coming up, Edgewood will head out to take on Joppatowne at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Havre de Grace does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
