Softball Recap: Smithville Takes a Loss

If Smithville was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of St. Paul on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Smithville Tigers took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sacred Heart Indians on Saturday.

Smithville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addison Otto, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-2. Otto has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Smithville's defeat dropped their record down to 13-4-1. As for Sacred Heart, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
