Willcox has gone a perfect 4-0 against Desert Christian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Cowboys are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Monday, Willcox made easy work of Valley Union and carried off a 14-2 victory. Considering the Cowboys have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma McWilliams was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Maley Allred also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Willcox always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are 10-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, while Desert Christian put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for St. Augustine Catholic. The Eagles blew past the Wolves 15-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Mikayla Hodges made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Hodges was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Desert Christian got a massive performance out of Aimee Lloyd, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Alexa Yarger was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.
Willcox has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Desert Christian, their record now sits at 5-12.
Desert Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Willcox has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Desert Christian, though, as they've been averaging 9.1 hits. Given Willcox's sizable advantage in that area, the Eagles will need to find a way to close that gap.
Willcox beat Desert Christian 5-2 in their previous meeting back in April of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cowboys since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
