Kettle Run has won six straight games at home, while Liberty Christian has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Cougars will welcome the Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. Kettle Run's defense has only allowed 6.2 points per game this season, so Liberty Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them.
Kettle Run is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 35-14 margin over Skyline. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by 21 points or more this season.

Kettle Run's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonathan Taylor, who rushed for 104 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing touchdowns Taylor has posted since back in September. Kettle Run also got a significant boost from Carter Lubbe, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 102 yards.
Kettle Run didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Skyline to a completion percentage of just 46.7%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Barrett Ross and Braylon Jenkins, who each logged one passes deflected. Sadly, that's becoming something of a trend for Kettle Run; they were averaging 60.3%completion percentage earlier this season, but in their last three games they've fallen to only 60.3% (which corresponds perfectly with their time in the postseason).
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Liberty Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top against Heritage by a score of 14-7.
Liberty Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Henry Maier and Nate Davis.
Kettle Run's record now sits at 12-1. As for Liberty Christian, their record is now 10-2.
Saturday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Kettle Run has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 153.7 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Liberty Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 228.7 rushing yards. There's a good chance Saturday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Kettle Run was taken down by Liberty Christian 42-6 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Thankfully for the Cougars, Gideon Davidson (who rushed for 176 yards and three scores while picking up 8.0 yards per carry, and also caught one TD) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
