On Friday, Shiprock was out to avenge their 39-0 loss to Rio Grande from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Shiprock fell to Rio Grande 7-0. This makes it the second defeat in a row for the Chieftains.
The loss dropped the Chieftains back to even at 5-5. The win bumped Rio Grande's record up to 4-6. Both of these squads appear to have finished up the season, as they have no upcoming games scheduled.
