The Frankenmuth Eagles gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Wednesday. They took down Meridian 53-39. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Frankenmuth also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2019.
Among those leading the charge was Thomas Conzelmann, who scored 20 points. Ethan Edwards was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Frankenmuth's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Meridian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frankenmuth will take on Freeland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeland is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Meridian, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Gladwin at 7:30 p.m.
