Simla found their leader in sophomore Tatum Kocerha, who dropped a double-double with 32 points and ten boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kocerha has scored all season. Caston Cox was another key player, putting up 17 points along with six assists and three steals.
Simla was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. They posted 12 more assists than Burlington's also-impressive total of 12.
Burlington lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rowdy Humrich, who posted eight points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Darian Mcdonough, who had 13 points and five boards.
Simla's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Burlington, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
