Softball Recap: South Hills Has No Trouble Against Kofa

After only one run in their last matchup, South Hills made sure to put some runs up on the board against Kofa on Friday. The South Hills Huskies were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over the Kofa Kings. Considering the Huskies have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Abigail Quintero looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, Charli Moreno was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Jayden Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

South Hills always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

South Hills' win bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Kofa, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

South Hills didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-0 victory against Cibola on the 7th. As for Kofa, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, an 11-1 loss against Highland on the 8th.
