Pymatuning Valley came into Thursday's game looking for another win against Cardinal, but Ivy Kaminski wouldn't allow it. The Huskies came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 45-32 on Thursday for which the team can thank Kaminski, who went 11-for-17 on her way to 27 points and six steals. The contest was her third in a row with at least 18 points.

Despite the loss, Pymatuning Valley still got an impressive performance from Eralyn Lockwood, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

The win (which was Cardinal's third in a row) raised their record to 3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.7 points on average over those games. As for Pymatuning Valley, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cardinal will square off against Mathews at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give the Huskies their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Pymatuning Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 51-31 win against Brookfield on the 6th.
