Oshkosh North was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from seventh to fifth in Valley - South. Earlier in the week, the Spartans defeated Fond du Lac 31-15.
Stevens Point extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Neenah, 13-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Oshkosh North's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Nate Neveau threw for 122 and one touchdown and Cooper Radtke had 52 yards receiving. On the ground Neveau chipped in 72 yards. Brian Elmer helped Oshkosh North's passing attack out by catching three balls for 51 yards.
Chris Kujawa's team's Neveau and Phil Brechlin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Neveau has thrown for 604 yards this season, while Brechlin, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 25 catches for 374 yards. Marshfield's Riley Gebelein leads the league in rushing yards with 464.
A big matchup in Valley - South this week will be when the Tigers take on Menasha. As it stands, Marshfield is in second, while the Bluejays are in third.
The Spartans took down the Cardinals 31-15 last week, the largest margin of any game. Neveau in the win.
