Volleyball Recap: Flowing Wells Has No Trouble Against Pueblo

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Catalina Foothills, Flowing Wells was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Pueblo Warriors with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in March.

While Flowing Wells won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-22.

Daniel Coronado paced Flowing Wells' offense, picking up 12 kills. Coronado got some help from Chris Anaya-Ashe and his 17 assists. Luis Valdez and Angel Felix kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Flowing Wells now has a winning record of 15-14. As for Pueblo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

Flowing Wells will challenge Ironwood Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pueblo, they will take on Mountain View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
