Iota waltzed into their matchup on Monday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Oak Hill Rams as they made off with a 16-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won 12 contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Saige Cherry was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cherry was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, Iota got a massive performance out of Charli Sonnier, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-2. Those two home runs gave Sonnier a new career-high. Valentina Doroteo also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
