Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Trinity Christian entered their tilt with Grapevine Faith Christian on Friday with nine consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with ten. They claimed a resounding 92-59 win over the Grapevine Faith Christian Lions. Trinity Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 17 contests by 23 points or more this season.

Trinity Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lucai Anderson, who went 12 for 21 en route to 32 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Anderson has scored at least a third of Trinity Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jett Mccasland, who went 7 of 12 from beyond the arc to rack up 24 points and eight assists.

Trinity Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grapevine Faith Christian only racked up eight assists.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matthew Branco, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. Branco is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brennen Byrd, who went 8 of 12 en route to 19 points and eight rebounds.

Trinity Christian's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.2 points over those games. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 27-7.

Trinity Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 71-66 defeat against Grace Prep on the 8th. As for Grapevine Faith Christian, they have also already played their next game, a 56-47 loss against Midland Christian on the 8th.
