Robertsdale took a nine-run defeat the last time they faced off against Fairhope, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Golden Bears narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Pirates 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Golden Bears: when they faced off against the Pirates last Thursday, they had to take a 10-1 loss.

Waylon Bell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Robertsdale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Fairhope, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-7.

Looking ahead, Robertsdale will challenge UMS-Wright Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairhope, they will face off against Baldwin County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
