After soaring high against East Moline United last Friday, Icarus fell to the ground on Friday. Davenport West found themselves the relunctant recipients of an unpleasant 9-34 punch to the gut against Clinton. If Davenport West were hoping to take revenge for the 14-28 loss against Clinton the last time the teams met, then they were left disappointed. The game leaves both teams with the exact same record at 1-1.
Davenport West will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Muscatine at 7:30 PM. As for Clinton, they will face off against Burlington. Clinton continues their travels as they hit the road for the second straight game.
