The Jal Panthers's game last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They snuck past Dexter with a 58-53 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Jal also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Gabriel Juarez, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Brandon Houston, who scored eight points along with 13 rebounds.
Jal's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Dexter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
Jal will be playing in front of their home fans against Dexter at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Dexter is ranked 106th, while Jal is ranked 90th). As for Dexter, they will head out on the road to take on Jal at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Jal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
