Cheyenne has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Amplus Academy Archers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Amplus Academy took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Cheyenne, who comes in off a win.
On Wednesday, Cheyenne beat the Bengals 41-32. The win was just what Cheyenne needed coming off of a 79-22 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Amplus Academy, who are still winless after their 14th game. They were dealt a 61-4 defeat at the hands of Somerset Academy Losee on Wednesday. Amplus Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-0.
They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of
Naomi Jacob and
Talaya Allen, who each put up two points.
Naia Youngblood held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Cheyenne's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Amplus Academy, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with that loss, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Cheyenne against the Archers in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 45-10 win. With Cheyenne ahead 31-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
