Borah extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They lost 21-1 to the Twin Falls Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Friday.
Borah saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zayne Talbert-Owens, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.
As for Twin Falls, their victory was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.
On Twin Falls' side, Hoyt Murray was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Murray was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Cameron Reyes looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits.
Back at the plate, Twin Falls let Kamden Richter and Luke Beem run wild. Richter went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Beem went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Beem a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Stadelmeir, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Borah will be taking part in a tournament against Reynolds at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. As for Twin Falls, they will face off against Middleton at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
