The Sultana Sultans will venture away from home to take on the Apple Valley Sun Devils at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Sultana took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. Everything went their way against Hesperia as they made off with a 17-10 victory.

Alondra Flores

| 04/15/26 @ Burroughs | 3 |

Alondra Flores was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Rios, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI.
Sultana was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .553. They are 6-3 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apple Valley). They were the clear victors by a 24-1 margin over Burroughs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Sun Devils sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.
Makaylee Cerf was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Apple Valley got a massive performance out of Hailey Macias, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Allyssa Purser was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs.
Sultana's record is now 8-16-1. As for Apple Valley, their record now sits at 15-9-1.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Sultana hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331. However, it's not like Apple Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .414. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Sultana couldn't quite get it done against Apple Valley when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 10-5. Can the Sultans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
