The Van Buren Bulldogs's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Neelyville Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on January 15th. Van Buren will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 429th, while Neelyville is ranked 204th).
Back in December of 2023, Van Buren was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Mansfield.
Meanwhile, Neelyville lost to Saxony Lutheran on the road by a decisive 67-48 margin on Saturday. Neelyville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Van Buren's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Neelyville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Van Buren might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from Neelyville in their previous matchup back in December of 2022. Can Van Buren avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
