The Franklin Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 53-40 defeat to Woodlawn. Franklin was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Woodlawn apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.
It was another big night for Jordan Harding, who scored 14 points along with five assists and five steals for Woodlawn. That makes it three consecutive games in which Harding has scored at least 25% of Woodlawn's points. Kaelyn House was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Franklin's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.5 points per game. As for Woodlawn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Franklin will be playing at home against Dundalk at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Dundalk is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Woodlawn, they will head out on the road to face off against Towson at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
