The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle will be playing at home against the Granger Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
After a string of five wins, Juan Diego Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of West Jordan by a score of 52-49.
Despite the loss, Juan Diego Catholic had strong showings from Tevarii Pecqueux, who scored 13 points, and Stockton Young, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pecqueux has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Fenger, who scored four points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Granger pushed their score all the way to 57 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a rough 81-57 loss at the hands of Kearns. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), Granger still had to take the loss.
Juan Diego Catholic's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for Granger, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Juan Diego Catholic took their victory against the Lancers in their previous meeting back in January by a conclusive 65-43. Does Juan Diego Catholic have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lancers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
