If Lutheran was feeling good fresh off their 78-56 takedown of San Juan Diego Catholic last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lutheran Mustangs lost 75-53 to the Live Oak Classical Falcons on Wednesday. The Mustangs' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Live Oak Classical's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tristan Wilson, who went 10 of 19 on his way to 26 points. That's the most points Wilson has posted since back in February of 2024. Jayden Ogden was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on ten points and nine boards.

Lutheran's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 7-13. As for Live Oak Classical, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

Lutheran has already played their next matchup, a 68-56 win against Central Texas Christian on the 24th. As for Live Oak Classical, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 90-20 victory against San Marcos Academy on the 24th.
