They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of North Idaho Christian. House of the Lord Christian Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Symone Pilgrim continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for North Idaho Christian, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds. Pilgrim set a new season high mark in assists with five. Danica Kelly was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six assists and six rebounds.
House of the Lord Christian Academy's defeat was their third straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 23.0 points per game. As for North Idaho Christian, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. House of the Lord Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on North Idaho Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 30, 2024. As for North Idaho Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Bonners Ferry at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bonners Ferry will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Idaho Rankings (they are ranked 90th, while North Idaho Christian is ranked 11th).
