Josh Flores was a major factor in Lake Central's victory over Valparaiso on Tuesday. Flores didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. The effort marked the most strikeouts he has had since back in May of 2024.

Flores' strong effort led Lake Central over Valparaiso and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
