Gulf Shores hasn't had much luck against Baldwin County recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dolphins will head out on the road to take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Gulf Shores 4.1, Baldwin County 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Gulf Shores will bounce into Tuesday's game after beating Satsuma, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Dolphins walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Gators on Thursday. The win was nothing new for the Dolphins as they're now sitting on three straight.
Anna Leigh Price made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Price was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Madi Nelson, who scored a run while going 3-for-3. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Neaveh James was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.
Gulf Shores kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Baldwin County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They put the hurt on Faith Academy with a sharp 8-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Julianna Thompson spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits.
At the plate, Madisyn Williams was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Brooke McGowin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.
The win made it two in a row for Baldwin County and bumps their season record up to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Gulf Shores, their record now sits at 21-13-1.
Gulf Shores might still be hurting after the 7-0 defeat they got from Baldwin County when the teams last played back in March. Can the Dolphins avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
