The Westwood Warriors were the 28-14 winner over the Tolleson Wolverines when they last played one another back in September of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Westwood was outmatched by Tolleson on the road and fell 42-7. Westwood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Giordan Hanks threw for 200 yards on 23 of 37 attempts. Sa'Veon McCrimon was his top target, picking up 133 receiving yards.
Tolleson found their leader in underclassman Rico Blassingame, who picked up 148 receiving yards and a touchdown. R.J. Dogbah made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Tolleson, their win bumped their record up to 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westwood will take on Mesa at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Tolleson, they will be playing at home against Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cesar Chavez is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.
