Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Meyersdale Red Raiders, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-14 walloping at the hands of Northern Bedford County on Friday. Meyersdale's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Although Meyersdale took the loss, they still got scores from Spencer Whitfield and Tucker Lapp.
Northern Bedford County was led to victory by Ben Gable and Eion Snider. Gable picked up 45 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Snider rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown.
Meyersdale's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Northern Bedford County, their victory was their 12th straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 11-0.
Meyersdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Northern Bedford County will take on Windber at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Windber is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
