Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jackson Britt, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 16 points. The matchup was Britt's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cole Forbrich, who posted eight points and five rebounds.
Bishop Ireton's victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-10. As for Evergreen Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-13 record this season.
A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Bishop Ireton Cardinals take on the Paul VI Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
