The Lancaster Baptist Eagles were the 37-24 winner over the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals when they last played one another back in August of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Lancaster Baptist was beaten by Santa Clarita Christian 40-12 on Thursday. Lancaster Baptist was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Santa Clarita Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cayden Rappleye out in front who rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 81 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt Shields got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Lancaster Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Santa Clarita Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 7-2 record this season.
