Memphis is 1-9 against Wheeler since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Tuesday. The Memphis Cyclones will be playing at home against the Wheeler Mustangs at 8:00  p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
 Memphis' recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by Clarendon 94-34. While losing is never fun, Memphis can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings  (they are ranked 1311th, while Clarendon is ranked 400th).
 Despite the  defeat, Memphis had strong showings from  Abel Villa, who  scored 11 points along with two  steals, and  Braden Bond, who  scored five points along with five  rebounds and two  steals. Villa is on a roll when it comes to  steals, as he's  now  grabbed two or more in the last six games he's  played.
 Meanwhile,  things could have been worse for Wheeler, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a  58-42 loss to Wellington on Friday. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Wheeler in their matchups with Wellington: they've now lost six in a row.
 Memphis' loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Wheeler, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
 Memphis came up short against Wheeler in their previous meeting  back in February of 2023, falling  57-45. Can Memphis avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
