Softball Recap: South Bend Adams' Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

South Bend Adams not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 21st (when they won 16-0). Everything went their way against Elkhart Christian Academy as they made off with a 12-0 victory. Considering South Bend Adams has won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Abby Kadar and Angela McNellis made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Kadar pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, McNellis tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Kadar went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while McNellis went 3-for-4 with three runs. That's the most hits Kadar has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Julia McNellis was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivianna Passwater, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI and one double.

South Bend Adams kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. They are 5-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

South Bend Adams moved to 8-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, South Bend Adams will host South Bend Riley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they will head out to face off against Lakeland at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
