Darlington won the last time they faced Monroe and things went their way on Saturday too. The Redbirds came out on top against the Cheesemakers by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Darlington took both sets by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-15.

Chloe O'Brien paced Darlington's offense, picking up eight kills. O'Brien got some help from Lilly Ritchie and her ten assists. Raynie Norgard controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Darlington's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Monroe, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Darlington will face off against Cuba City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cubans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Redbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Monroe, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against South Beloit on the 2nd.
