In what's become a running theme this season, Peebles gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They really took it to Mason County for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-29 victory on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Peebles has posted since December 9, 2023.
Even though Hillsboro has not done well against Miami Trace recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Hillsboro walked away with a 56-46 win over Miami Trace. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hillsboro.
Hillsboro's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rylie Scott, who scored nine points along with two steals. Scott has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Kobie Miles, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Peebles' victory bumped their record up to 12-2. As for Hillsboro, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Everything went Peebles' way against Hillsboro in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as Peebles made off with a 74-51 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Peebles since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
