The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ardrey Kell in their matchups with Myers Park: they've now lost five in a row.
Ardrey Kell lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caden Caskey, who scored 21 points. Caskey hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Delani Hammonds was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Myers Park's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sir Mohammed, who scored 22 points along with two steals and two blocks. Mohammed hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Sadiq White Jr., who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds.
Ardrey Kell's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Myers Park, they pushed their record up to 19-2 with that victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ardrey Kell will take on South Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ardrey Kell has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 420 points over their last six matches. Myers Park's road trip will continue as they head out to face Olympic at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Olympic focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday.
