Gaithersburg's 15-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 49-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Kennedy.
Meanwhile, Magruder entered their tilt with Rockville with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Magruder really took it to Rockville for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-34 victory at home. That 68-34 margin sets a new team best for Magruder this season.
It was another big night for Aiden Dabbondanza, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. The match was his fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Crandall, who scored 11 points.
Gaithersburg's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Magruder, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.
Gaithersburg didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Magruder in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win. Will Gaithersburg repeat their success, or does Magruder have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
