The Jay Royals can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They blew past Lighthouse Private Christian Academy 42-8 at home. The win was just what Jay needed coming off of a 41-19 loss in their prior match.
Brock Stout continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns. Hayden Morris was another key contributor, throwing for 106 yards and a touchdown on only nine passes.
Jay's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, their loss was their sixth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 3-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Jay will challenge Wewahitchka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Seven Rivers Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Seven Rivers Christian is ranked 544th, while Lighthouse Private Christian Academy is ranked 527th).
