The Tecumseh Indians had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 70-14 win over Clinton on the road. With Tecumseh ahead 45-12 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Leading Tecumseh to victory were Alli Zajac and Ashlyn Moorehead. Zajac scored 22 points, while Moorehead scored 19 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Schlorf, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
Tecumseh's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Clinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will square off against Detroit Country Day at 6:20 p.m. on Saturday. As for Clinton, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
