McKean is on a four-game streak of home losses, the Owls an eight-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. Having just played yesterday, the McKean Highlanders will get right back to it and host the Odyssey Charter Owls at 3:30 p.m. on February 6th. McKean has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
On Monday, McKean was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 37-36 to the Rams.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jasmine Sessoms, who scored 12 points along with four steals. Dolores Samson was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Odyssey Charter took a serious blow against the Lions on Saturday, falling 55-26. Odyssey Charter was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 30-10.
McKean has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Odyssey Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-10.
McKean didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Owls in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 37-32 win. Will McKean repeat their success, or do the Owls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
