6A Mt. Hood recap October 1, 2013
Central Catholic added to the longest winning streak in 6A Mt. Hood this week by beating Reynolds, 41-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Rams.
The Raiders fell to Central Catholic 41-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Steve Pyne's team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Aidan Wilder threw for 110 and 2 touchdowns and Holden Oglesbee had 91 yards receiving. On the ground Ryan Nall contributed 112 yards. Xavier Pinder helped Central Catholic's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Wilder put up the best numbers in passing as the Rams topped Reynolds. Wilder's favorite target this week was Oglesbee, who caught 7 passes for 91 yards.
Central Catholic's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Wilder has thrown for 646 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Zach Davis has 15 catches for 279 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Barlow takes on Centennial. The Bruins are in third place, while the Eagles are in second place.
Centennial made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,384 from 8,171. The improvement was the result of a 21-14 victory over Gresham last week.
