South Eugene's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trey Saunders led the charge by scoring 20 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Saunders' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Landyn Bryant was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with six rebounds and five assists.
McMinnville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for South Eugene, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-7.
McMinnville is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Century at 5:45 p.m. on January 9th. As for South Eugene, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on McNary at 6:45 p.m. on January 9th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Oregon (McNary is ranked 96th, while South Eugene is ranked 100th).
