The Westminster Wolves will take on the Highlands Ranch Falcons at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Westminster is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Riverdale Ridge on Tuesday. They came up short against the Ravens, falling 10-2. The contest marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.
Adrian Moreno was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
Meanwhile, Highlands Ranch scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 22-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lewis-Palmer. That's two games in a row now that the Falcons have lost by exactly five runs.

Highlands Ranch dropped their record down to 2-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Westminster, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
Highlands Ranch's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Westminster has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .481. It's a different story for Highlands Ranch, though, as they've only averaged .365. Will they be able to contain Westminster's hitters?
