Having just played yesterday, the Mill Creek Hawks will get right back to it and host the South Mecklenburg Sabres at 2:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Mill Creek comes in on three and South Mecklenburg on nine.
On Thursday, it was close, but Mill Creek sidestepped White Oak for a 52-50 victory.
Meanwhile, even though Clover scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, South Mecklenburg still came out on top. South Mecklenburg took down Clover 71-56. Given South Mecklenburg's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 31st in North Carolina, while Clover is ranked 139th in South Carolina), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Peter Moye continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Skelton, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Mill Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season. As for South Mecklenburg, they pushed their record up to 9-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
