Carson City-Crystal had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 2-11 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the St. Charles Bulldogs 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since May 15, 2024.

As for St. Charles, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

For St. Charles' part, Brenden Servantes spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on three hits and racked up six Ks.

At the plate, Lucas Jastrzembowski was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Those doubles marked the first that he has hit this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carson City-Crystal will face off against Tri County Area at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Charles, they will square off against Montrose at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
